If only the people still purchasing scammy software to flood blogs with links to their crap would realize this!

Whenever I receive a legitimate comment I do always tend to visit the posters website. You can usually garner great insights into the type of person reading your website doing that.

And maybe I’m just being polite, but if someone drops a comment on me, I’ll leave one with them if possible. More of a way to establish raport/community, than to boost comments/linkspam.

I have found relevant comments, even short ones, can drive traffic to kartme.com. What’s intrigued me is that on certain forums, they can drive traffic for years after the original comment!

If you’ve been in SEO or domaining for 5 days you should already know this. The reason I comment on the blogs is to provide feedback. I know I appreciate someone letting me know they liked my articles and therefore do the same for others. I could care less what my blog is ranked but I won’t lie, writing for 10 people is no fun and I get excited when someone post a comment. It’s not hard to figure out which people are there to promote intelligent conversation or draw attention to themselves.
