I can’t wait to see Kobe Bryant walking around with a gas mask over his head to prevent him from inhaling too much of the pollution in Beijing next month.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the US Olympic Committee has actually developed high tech, top secret masks for our Olympians. As they report, walking around with these things on will create a massive amount of publicity.
I have also heard that many of the Olympic athletes are already over in Japan training. They have accustomed themselves to the time zone by training in Japan and will be flying over for quick trips to Beijing on the day of or before their events. It is sad to hear that they will not get to experience all of the Olympic ceremonies and lifestyle, but in their eyes the competition is more important than the experience, which is understandable.
