Shaun sends this disturbing story, “Can’t Pay Your Mortgage? Trash Your House and Leave“, which starts off discussing how people are trashing their house before they leave. It does not exactly explain why they do, but it seems to me it must be out of frustration or spite toward the banks and lenders. Either way, it is wrong and in general I believe that this is just a quick trend or only exists in the worst areas or markets.
The rest of the article discusses the downturn in the housing market in general with basic explanations as to why the market has turned. Nothing new in there, but the succinct explanation contains several quality quotes from top lender CEO’s.
