The Next iPhone

Everyone always talks about the next Michael Jordan or the next Google. Usually people mean the “next generation” of those amazing people, or companies, or technology.

Well, I think this technology being developed at MIT could be the next technology for mobile devices. In the same way that the iPhone has really taken mobile devices to the next level, Pattie Maes technology could be the next generation of this technology.

The device is nothing groundbreaking. All of these applications have been invented before. It is just a matter of combining the right ones into a right device with the right applications that will make it the “next” iPhone.

  • truly futuristic technology. I thought this sort of thing only existed in Spielberg’s movies.

  • I want “Jane” from the Ender’s Game series written by Orson Scott Card. I’ve wanted an ear implant that I could subvocalize to, that instantly researched a topic and provided me with the information via the implant, etc. The projection bit of this is really intriguing though. Thanks for the video.
