Sidebar Suggestions?
Somehow the sidebars of the GreenTaxi.com blog homepage were completely erased last week. I believe it had something to do with an iPhone plugin I have and trying to edit the sidebars via the plugin.
The point is, that I am starting from scratch. Does anyone have any suggestions for what they’d like to see on my sidebars? It’s about time for my yearly design update anyways, so this will be a good way to bring in the New Year on GreenTaxi.
There are a few staples that I will be adding back for sure, but I am up for suggestions on rebuilding this.
I think the status updates were fairly popular. People always seemed to enjoy commenting on what I am reading right now or where I am currently located. Should I add more of those or remove some?
I also like the social media buttons, such as a big RSS feed, a link to Twitter, Facebook, etc.
What else? Was the Friendfeed widget interesting? A reading list? My favorite posts? Statistical updates?

I like narrow, somewhat dynamic content. twitter is too broad & noisy. “what i’m reading now” is great.
I’m biased but…how about adding KartMe widgets for what you’re into this month in:
-SEO
-Investing
-Books I’m planning to read
-LA Restaurants & Bars (including links to your reviews)
You can get a widget for any Kart ( http://img.skitch.com/20091229-c3due9fdbf7w1gn9f92tntxc98.jpg ). Adding content is as easy as clicking your KartMe button. You can see mine on philmichaelson.com
Good ideas, Deuce. I added the “Next Books to Read” kart and will work on the others soon…
