Hong Kong Smog Cam

DiscoverHongKong.com has a great way for you to experience the Hong Kong…via webcam’s that offer updating views of the city.  The only problem with having webcam’s in Hong Kong is that with the smog, you cannot see anything anyway.

Here is a picture from 11:30am today.  That is not clouds or fog.  Disgusting.

Developing Countries Climate Crisis

climatecrisis

A report made by the Centre for Global Development(CGD) points to developing countries, not the current industrial leaders of the world, that will be the main cause for climate crisis over the next 10 to 20 years.  It claims that these developing countries, namely in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Pacific islands, face an environmental disaster no matter what the developed nations do in regards to their own environmental problems.

I’m not a big fan of pointing fingers when the whole world will end up dealing with each others problems.  They call it GLOBAL warming for a reason.  However, if certain countries are more responsible for the problems than others, they should own up to their end when it comes to finding a solution.  I hope these countries are not relying on the rest of the world to solve their problems.  Sorry, “hope” is a bad word.  I realize that they do, but I wish they would not.

Jeremy’s Spoken

Elliot interviews one of the original domainers who has taken a second stab at the industry.  Jeremy Padawer has a lot of charisma as you can tell by the interview (and I imagine his toy-industry job).  Keep up the great work, Elliot!

Green Legislation

Todd Woody, at the Green Wombat, discusses the “Solar Showdown in Congress“, regarding the legislation that will go through in the next two weeks.  The situation changes daily, but at stake are the tax-incentive credits that makes large-scale solar plants a viable option for utility companies.
