It looks as if the centralized North Korean news agency, KCNA, is on Twitter now. I just started following and I must say, it is one of the more interesting Twitterers to follow.
By following, I in no way am supporting the insane North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il. That is the one problem I find with Twitter. People view followers as a measure of support of popularity. In this case, it is more a matter of “infamous” than “famous”.
Have a read through some of the articles from the North Korean news agency. They read like the propoganda you would expect. It calls the South Korean President Lee Myung Bak a “traitor” running a “fascist dictatorship”. It talks about the struggling people of South Korea under the fascist regime.
It also celebrates any visit under the “warm care” of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and is about as nationalistic as it comes for newspapers. The articles themselves are also extremely big-worded, stuffing in as many complex or long words as possible. It definitely does not read like a dumbed-down American newspaper.
Hilarious stuff. I do not invite you to follow unless you truly have an interest in North/South politics. It is definitely worth a glance, however.
