After what I thought was a rather weak article, Michael Lewis is back with a bit. This article, “Sexual Politics Enlighten the Hedge-Fund Trader“, is excessive as usual and jumps around between a few topics, but his main points are clear and true.
Lewis argues that Sex is more important than Money in this presidential campaign and that the fact that male voters are voting for Hillary is entirely based on their sexual thoughts overpowering their desire for money. Which, in these economic times of uncertainty, is truly saying a lot. His argument is that Hillary is by no means being good to their wallets (Obama could be even worse, however). But more importantly, their wives will hate them for voting against Hillary and as he puts it, “these are lean times in big Wall Street firms and keeping the marriage together is cheaper than divorce.”
I found the article funny and harsh, yet entertaining and truthful. I would be curious to hear your thoughts as well…
