There are a few extremely important points made in this video and a follow-up article of her pushing Panamanian real estate.
- Ivanka Trump comes off as “weirdly smart“. I was floored. Watch it and tell me you are not in shock. I mean her dad is a bankrupt doofus masquerading intelligence behind a brand, and her mom is a trophy wife. Where did that come from?
- This Northern Trust situation is ridiculous. Read up on it if you have not. It is one thing for people to complain about the CEO flying a corporate jet around the country (on this point I agree with Ivanka, btw). But it is another to complain that a company is entertaining top clients. That is called good business and good networking. They will not improve their business if they are not allowed to advertise, network, and even entertain to some extent. John Kerry’s stance on this is a threat to capitalism as we know it.
- Ivanka is only pushing Panama because the Trump Tower sales in Panama City are probably weak even as they still offer leveraged incentive deals. I am as big of fan as any of Panamanian real estate, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. The world of leveraged real estate is in a bind and even Panama is not immune.
