The whole subject confuses me. There are seemingly legitimate arguements on both sides, which makes coming down on one side or the other nearly impossible.

My 10-year old son asked me about global warming/climate change the other day. I had no good answers for him. All I could say was that he should avoid doing things that hurt the environment. If he had asked for more specifics, I would have told him to talk to his mother.

I’ve always found this video on the subject very funny. It’s one way of looking at it.

Thanks for the chart – very interesting. I’m a bit of a skeptic myself, though will be the first to say I’m not a scientist and can’t make fully informed judgements. We are talking about predicting the temperature of the earth 100 years from now. How can you possibly do that, with all of the thousands of inputs involved? My weatherman can’t tell me what will happen next week but we’re going to predict the temperature 100 years from now within 1 or 2 degrees, and spend trillions of dollars on it now?

at the end of the day it is unfortunate the way this debate has divided people. Just because I don’t fully agree with the global warming crowd doesn’t mean I don’t want more parks, cleaner air and cleaner water – in fact I probably advocate for those things more than most – yet dare I mention my skepticism in public and suddenly I’m a pariah…..
