We selected DJ Casey Connor as our wedding DJ and she was the last vendor we had to hire. She has worked hard to gain publicity, although most of it is from performing at clubs or other events, not weddings. Even so, she lived up to our expectations and more with the job she did for us.
After the wedding, we were overwhelmed with compliments about the “life of the party”, the dancing and dance floor, and even about the music selection itself. The compliments echoed our thoughts in that the party was jumping since the moment she began and it never quit. She kept the dance floor rocking without a dull moment and made the evening fly by (unfortunately!).
DJ Casey Connor’s success was clear based on the traffic and enjoyment seen on the dance floor. Her interpretation of what we wanted for music was perfect and we enjoyed the music immensely. We were going for a lively, energetic environment mixing top 40 type of music with a few special requests of country, 80’s music, hip hop and club music mixed in. She specializes in mixing two songs together, such as a current top 40 song with an 80’s classic, which you can find on her website. She managed to do this incredibly well with the selection we had suggested and what she came up with on her own.
From the beginning, DJ Casey Connor was very professional as a vendor. She was very energetic at our first meeting. While she visually portrayed her relaxed, Santa Monica lifestyle and appearance, she still conveyed the confidence in her work and the excitement of a wedding.
At the wedding itself, she showed up on time and kept her set up quiet and simple. She dressed professionally. She is an attractive female who presents herself well, which made the experience that much more enjoyable for the guests. She limited her talking at our request (and her preference), preferring to keep the talk to the common speeches. She provided quality equipment and speakers, although the microphone she had for speeches was not cordless (a minor issue).
The only negative would be the slight lack of follow up via email and phone as we tried to prepare in the weeks ahead. However, it is nothing the whine about and she certainly proved that we did not need to be concerned once the wedding day arrived. We give DJ Casey Connor 5 stars and our complete support as a wedding DJ.
