As the market collapses this week, it reminds me of my first truck in Hawaii, Baby Blue. I drove that thing for over a year, hauling many drunk buddies around in its bed. Then I sold it to my friend Kevin, for $500, and got to be on the receiving end of those drunk rides for the next year and a half.
We drove it into the ground. Got every last cent out of it. Then it died a horrible death and Kevin drove it off a cliff. The parallels with the stock market these days are uncanny.

And you were happier then. If you are rich you are happy, but if you are not rich and trying to be rich, life is hard. If you are poor and driving that thing, life is good.
scariest ride of my life was in “baby blue” when Patty took the wheel heading down the H1 and I was in the bed
